The Housekeeper role at Aloft by Marriott Leawood-Overland Park is central to maintaining the hotel’s standards of excellence. Job Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience preferred in hospitality, service, consumer-facing roles, or related fields
Must have a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
Must work well under pressure and in stressful situations
Effective at listening, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns
Strong communication skills
Desire to serve guests with hospitality
Must be willing to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled times
Must clock in and out for breaks at designated schedule times
Provide sufficient notice when calling out from scheduled shifts
Must be able to perform physical tasks such as stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting
Ability to work in a clean, organized environment while adhering to safety standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
Use the guests’ names whenever possible to ensure they feel properly welcomed
Work together with team members to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel features and amenities
Support all groups and events at the hotel
Answer all incoming calls with friendly service using approved greetings
Keep all workspaces, both front and back of house, clean and well-organized
Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
Greet guests with a smile and use their names while cleaning
Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time every shift
Prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed at all times
Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to stretch beyond traditional roles
Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment
Complete pre-cleaning duties including stocking room supplies and attending morning meetings
Thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms per shift
Perform additional cleaning projects in storage rooms, public spaces, guest laundry, and deep cleaning activities as assigned
