We are currently seeking a dedicated Room Attendant/Housekeeper to join our housekeeping department under the supervision of the Head of Housekeeping. This role is pivotal in maintaining the overall appearance and hygiene of our guest rooms and public spaces, thereby enhancing the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for maintaining cleanliness and organization. They will be responsible for cleaning and stocking guest rooms, changing linens, dusting, vacuuming, and ensuring bathrooms and all furnishings meet stringent cleanliness standards. This position requires a positive attitude, professional appearance, and adherence to health and safety regulations including OSHA and brand-specific guidelines.

The Room Attendant also serves as an ambassador of our hotel’s values by greeting guests courteously and maintaining confidentiality at all times. They work efficiently and effectively within allocated time frames to maximize productivity without compromising quality. Additional duties include reporting maintenance issues, participating in team meetings, assisting with training new staff, and supporting seasonal or deep cleaning projects. The role demands organization skills to keep work areas and equipment orderly and requires vigilance in following safety procedures and key control protocols. This is a full-time position ideal for individuals looking to grow their career in hospitality with comprehensive training in safety, security, and guest service standards provided.

Job Requirements

clean and stock all guest rooms as assigned, including changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, stocking supplies, emptying trash, removing used linens and room service items, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, tubs, and sink
dust, polish furniture, straighten furnishings, and appliances
clean appliances, and dishes if applicable
keep Head Housekeeper informed of room status on a timely basis
greet guests as you encounter them throughout the property
take pride in your work, strictly adhering to all federal, state, local and brand health, safety, and sanitary guidelines
complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, and health and safety, ensuring that all OSHA, state, and federal guidelines for chemical, fire, health, and safety are being followed
follow all safe chemical handling procedures according to the chemical manufacturer's instructions
keep workspace, storage rooms, housekeeping carts clean and well organized and stocked, including equipment such as vacuum cleaners
work in an organized fashion following the step-by-step process
observe the condition of furniture, walls, trim, carpet, and appliances
report all deficiencies following the hotels' policies
keep lines of communication open within the housekeeping department
participate in daily standup meetings, housekeeping, and all staff meetings
adhere to key control guidelines
assist in quarterly, spring, fall, annual cleaning duties as assigned
turn in lost and found items following the company procedure
assist in training of new staff
participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment
holds an understanding of hotel products and services (i.e., food and beverage, recreation)
performs other duties as assigned
