Recognized for its supportive and friendly work environment, MVW highlights the importance of delivering meaningful vacation moments. As part of the Marriott family, a globally renowned hospitality brand, this company is committed to providing excellent service while fostering an inclusive and diverse culture that values every employee's contributions. The company offers competitive hourly wages, comprehensive benefits, and numerous opportunities for professional growth, making it an attractive choice for those seeking a fulfilling career in the hospitality industry.
The Housekeeper position at MVW is an integral role that supports the overall guest experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and comfort in villas. This role involves cleaning entire villas including kitchens, bathrooms, dining rooms, and bedrooms following company standards. The housekeeper replenishes guest amenities like linens, towels, toiletries, and kitchen supplies to ensure every stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Attention to detail is vital when completing assigned rooms and tasks within scheduled shifts. The housekeeper also manages the housekeeping cart or caddy to transport all necessary supplies and chemicals throughout the shift and ensures proper return of the cart at the end of the day.
Housekeepers are also responsible for reporting room status to supervisors and the front desk, as well as alerting maintenance teams to any safety hazards or maintenance issues that arise. Beyond cleanliness tasks, this role is highly guest-focused; housekeepers greet guests warmly, anticipate needs, and maintain professional and courteous interactions with guests and colleagues alike. They contribute actively to team goals while adhering to all company policies and safety standards.
Working at MVW offers employees a range of benefits that contribute to a balanced and fulfilling life. These include competitive pay starting at $20.90 per hour, medical, dental, and vision insurance options, 401(k) opportunities, and travel discounts to encourage exploration and enjoyment. Employees may also participate in credit union membership, tuition reimbursement, professional counseling, and family support services. The company supports growth and development through continuous learning opportunities.
On the site-specific level, perks include free on-site parking, discounted meals, department celebrations, and associate appreciation weeks that recognize employees' hard work. Monthly recognition programs reward outstanding contributions, and employees receive company-branded winter coats, uniforms, and work shoe stipends, along with a monthly phone stipend.
Ideal candidates for the housekeeper position possess the physical ability to reach overhead, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods. The job requires lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling items up to 25 pounds. Flexibility is important as housekeepers work various shifts, holidays, and weekends. Employment is contingent on passing a background and drug screening according to company policy and applicable laws.
Joining MVW means becoming part of a culturally rich and diverse team committed to excellence in hospitality and guest satisfaction. This environment empowers employees to make meaningful moments together with guests in a positive and supportive workplace. If you are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working as part of a team, and meet the physical demands of the role, the Housekeeper position at Marriott Vacations Worldwide offers a rewarding career with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement.
