Job Requirements

  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns of co-workers and guests
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Must have a desire to serve all guests
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be willing to work a varied schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and not work off the clock
  • Must clock in/out for breaks at designated times
  • Must provide sufficient notice for call outs
  • Must be able to perform physical demands including stooping, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, standing, walking, repetitive motions, and lifting
  • Must follow any other job-related instructions and duties given
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions satisfactorily and accept reasonable accommodations if requested

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel features and amenities
  • Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
  • Understand and use relevant technology for the role
  • Answer all incoming calls with friendly service and approved greetings
  • Keep all workspaces sparkling clean and well-organized
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet every guest happily while cleaning, using their names if possible
  • Complete all operational checklists accurately and on time each shift
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, and smile at all times
  • Communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with team members
  • Demonstrate a can-do attitude and willingness to meet business needs
  • Collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming and effective workplace
  • Complete pre-cleaning duties like stocking supplies and attending meetings
  • Thoroughly clean and restock assigned guest rooms each shift
  • Perform additional cleaning projects as assigned including public spaces and deep cleaning as needed
  • Follow all established hotel guidelines and procedures
  • Adhere to scheduled clock-in/out times and break schedules
  • Provide adequate notice for any call-outs as directed
