Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, reaching and bending and operating floor equipment such as vacuum cleaners, autoscrubbers, buffers
- meet Department of Labor's Heavy Duty Standard
- capable of wearing appropriate PPE for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- ability to be scheduled for work based on operational needs of the hospital
- possess the ability to deal tactfully and harmoniously with guests
- demonstrate an understanding of assigned areas, necessary supplies and equipment
- able to read and follow written work assignments
Job Duties
- Inspect and ensure that all assigned areas are properly cleaned and in good repair
- report problems to the supervisor
- clean all assigned areas including patient rooms, exam rooms, public areas, toilets, procedure rooms, OR rooms, offices and equipment following established procedures
- remove trash from all assigned areas
- replenish paper towels, toilet paper, and soap in all locations of assigned areas
- make beds in patient discharge and on-call rooms
- maintain assigned equipment in clean working condition and report issues
- move equipment, furniture, boxes, wash walls, spot carpets as assigned
- follow all safety and sanitation regulations
