Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
  • able to work in a standing position for long periods of time up to 5 hours
  • able to lift reach bend and stoop
  • able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies weighing up to 20 pounds

Job Duties

  • Wash dry and fold all hotel linens
  • make beds
  • replenish guest room supplies including clean towels and washcloths
  • clean rooms hallways lobbies common areas restrooms elevator stairways and exterior bathrooms
  • clean rugs carpets upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaner
  • dust furniture and fixtures
  • disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
  • return dirty room service dishes and trays to restaurant
  • wash walls ceilings and woodwork as needed
  • wash windows door panels and sills
  • empty wastebaskets
  • transport trash and waste to trash area behind restaurant
  • replenish bathroom supplies
  • deliver special order items to guest rooms such as food wine or flowers
  • replace light bulbs as needed
  • report any damages or maintenance issues to front desk immediately
  • report guests items left behind and turn in to front desk immediately
  • abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy
  • know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
  • take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM or front desk
