Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Physically healthy and strong enough to perform duties
- Must have yearly TB test or chest x-ray
- Able to read, write and speak English
- Familiar with basic housekeeping functions

Job Duties
- Receive assignments from housekeeping supervisor
- Follow cleaning schedules daily, weekly, monthly
- Clean assigned areas, furnishings, fixtures according to established procedures
- Clean floors using dry mop, wet mop, sweep, and disinfect as required
- Perform emergency housekeeping where accidents occur
- Clean moveable and stationary furnishings and fixtures by dusting, spot cleaning, washing, disinfecting, and polishing
- Empty and clean ashtrays
- Empty, clean and reline wastebaskets with appropriate trash bags
- Inspect furnishings and fixtures for wear and report to supervisor
- Clean resident, private, and public bathrooms
- Wash windows, mirrors, walls, and doors as scheduled
- Replenish bathroom supplies
- Perform terminal cleaning duties when residents are discharged or transferred and prepare room for new occupant
- Clean and rehang curtains or drapes
- Send soiled linens to laundry
- Report structural and equipment wear, defects, malfunctions to supervisor
- Report supply and equipment needs to supervisor for replenishment
- Assist with laundry when necessary
- Perform other duties as directed by supervisor
