Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to six months experience in housekeeping or janitorial position preferred
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs with assistance occasionally
  • Ability to walk, stand, push, stoop, bend, and stretch frequently
  • Ability to climb and descend ladders and stairs
  • Willingness to adhere to vaccination policies as applicable
  • Ability to use vacuum cleaner, broom and other general household cleaning tools
  • Medium work exerting required physical effort

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Clean offices and common areas including meeting rooms, hallways, reception area, and laundry rooms
  • Vacuum carpet
  • Mop/sweep tile and other hard surface flooring
  • Dust furniture and lamps
  • Clean mirrors and interior glass surfaces
  • Wipe window blinds
  • Remove cobwebs from light fixtures and wherever else present
  • Clean laundry machines as necessary including clearing out filters and wiping down inside and outside of machines
  • Clean bathrooms including mopping floor, sanitizing/cleaning toilet and sink, adding necessary paper supplies like toilet tissue, facial tissues, hand towels, filling soap and other sanitary item dispensers, wiping mirrors
  • Clean employee break room including defrost refrigerator as scheduled, wipe out refrigerator, remove expired items
  • Clean resident apartments when turnovers occur
  • Wash 1st floor community windows inside and out as scheduled
  • Mop stairways as required
  • Trash rooms/area including cleaning and polishing trash chutes, mopping/sweeping trash room floor
  • Clean guest suites including removing soiled linens and replacing with fresh linens, laundering all guest suite linens, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming carpet and sweeping/mopping hard surfaces, cleaning kitchen, restocking items provided such as coffee and toiletries, putting away ironing board, iron, hairdryer and other guest conveniences tidily
  • Complete and submit maintenance slips as required
  • Maintain all housekeeping equipment and supplies in proper order
  • Perform 30-60 day deep cleaning where applicable
  • Support creating a culture where business decisions made in this position along with individual employee engagement drive top-line revenue and occupancy
