Job Requirements
- basic cleaning skills and/or minimal Residential Care Facility for the Elderly experience
- must be able to stand, walk, or move constantly
- must be able to navigate various areas of the facility including resident rooms and common areas as well as outdoor locations
- must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently such as carrying linens and housekeeping supplies
- must be able to push and/or pull carts with supplies of over 50 pounds occasionally
- must be able to bend, squat, and kneel frequently
- must be able to twist neck and waist occasionally
- must undergo a physical exam and tuberculosis screening resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
- must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment
- must read, understand, and sign the Report of Suspected Physical Abuse of a Dependent Elder (SOC341A)

Job Duties
- perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in resident rooms and bathrooms
- change bed linens and towels for residents
- assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor
- follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
- maintain effective communication with residents, staff, and visitors, providing assistance as needed while respecting residents' privacy and confidentiality
- participate in special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
