Job Requirements

basic cleaning skills and/or minimal Residential Care Facility for the Elderly experience
must be able to stand, walk, or move constantly
must be able to navigate various areas of the facility including resident rooms and common areas as well as outdoor locations
must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently such as carrying linens and housekeeping supplies
must be able to push and/or pull carts with supplies of over 50 pounds occasionally
must be able to bend, squat, and kneel frequently
must be able to twist neck and waist occasionally
must undergo a physical exam and tuberculosis screening resulting in a negative TB diagnosis prior to employment
must obtain clearance or exemption approval from the Department of Social Services following FBI and DOJ livescan background check prior to employment
must read, understand, and sign the Report of Suspected Physical Abuse of a Dependent Elder (SOC341A)

cleaning or housekeeping experience preferred
ability to stand, walk, or move constantly

Job Duties

perform routine cleaning duties including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in resident rooms and bathrooms
change bed linens and towels for residents
assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting needs to the Housekeeping Supervisor
follow all health and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals
maintain effective communication with residents, staff, and visitors, providing assistance as needed while respecting residents' privacy and confidentiality
participate in special cleaning projects and deep cleaning tasks as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor
