Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in housekeeping or custodial duties
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping tools and equipment
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds frequently
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including occasional support of special events and emergencies

Job Duties

  • Perform various housekeeping duties to assigned areas during the academic year and non-academic year
  • Assigned areas must be maintained in a safe and habitable condition to achieve the standards of Building Services
  • Detect and report defective or unsafe equipment, building repairs, individual employee safety and safety issues concerning the college community
  • Follow and observe all safety rules and practices
  • Ensure the proper handling of all Building Services key rings, reporting any lost or misplaced keys immediately
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with co-workers, students, visitors, and other college personnel
  • Support special events, conference services events, and work requests, including occasionally flexible work hours as required
