Job Requirements
- Must be physically fit and able to bend stoop and lift
- Must work independently with little supervision
- Must be able to handle industrial laundry and cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Must comply fully with all hotel rules and regulations
- Must work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must report to work on time in proper uniform including a name tag
- Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or related cleaning services preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Familiarity with use of cleaning chemicals, industrial laundry machines and equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of guest service principles
- Physical fitness to meet job demands including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Duties
- Pick up room reports and keys to assigned areas daily
- Sign out and in all keys at shift start and end using the key control log
- Collect assigned carts and supplies from the laundry area as directed by the supervisor
- Minimize noise in guest room areas to avoid disturbing guests
- Prioritize cleaning of check-out rooms unless special requests dictate otherwise
- Report any rooms marked do not disturb to a superior for approval
- Change sheets in every room daily unless otherwise specified by the guest or brand policy
- Progress from room to room carefully respecting all do not disturb signs
- Clean rooms following established procedures
- Return carts to the linen room at the end of the shift
- Carry out all reasonable management requests
- Maintain flexibility regarding work schedules
- Report to work on time and in proper clean uniform including name tag
- Stay knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, changes, and new procedures
- Understand and engage with guest service scores and guest feedback
- Handle all duties according to hotel policies and standards
- Know and adhere to all emergency procedures
- Report unusual occurrences or special guest requests to management
- Assist fellow associates to improve daily hotel operations
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Maintain valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if applicable
- Adhere to physical requirements including lifting and bending tasks as needed
