Job Requirements

  • No high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • no related work experience
  • no supervisory experience
  • ability to respond promptly to guest and department requests
  • ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds unassisted and over 25 pounds with assistance
  • ability to push and pull loaded housekeeping carts over various surfaces
  • ability to perform physical activities including bending, twisting, reaching overhead and below knees, standing, sitting, kneeling, or walking for extended periods
  • ability to communicate clearly and professionally
  • adherence to all safety and security policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Respond promptly to guest and department requests
  • fill housekeeping cart with supplies and transport to assigned areas
  • enter guest rooms following access and vacancy procedures
  • replace guest amenities and supplies
  • change and fold linens and terry
  • make beds
  • clean bathrooms thoroughly
  • remove trash, dirty linens, and room service items
  • check and ensure all appliances are present and functional
  • straighten desks, furniture, and appliances
  • dust, polish, and remove marks from furnishings and walls
  • vacuum carpets and perform floor care duties
