Job Requirements
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services that meet or exceed quality standards
- Desire to work with seniors
- Compliance with safety and infection control procedures
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and perform tasks with interruptions
- Willingness to work as part of a team and participate in training
- As applicable, review and sign driver job description for safety and regulatory compliance if operating a Sunrise vehicle
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED preferred
- Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to handle multiple priorities
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision
- Ability to perform tasks amid frequent interruptions
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Clean resident suites, bathrooms, common areas and offices by sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and polishing surfaces
- Respect residents' privacy by knocking before entering rooms and public restrooms
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage and collection areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and follow community procedures for damaged linens
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care upon request
- Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident feedback and requests
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely and maintain compliance with safety and infection control protocols
- Participate in team meetings, training, and engagement programs as directed
- Perform other duties as assigned
