Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
prior experience in housekeeping or custodial services preferred
ability to communicate clearly in English
physical ability to perform housekeeping duties including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
ability to work independently and as part of a team
reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
effective communication in English with employees and residents
general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
ability to retain orders up to four at one time
strong organization and time management skills
basic computer skills

Job Duties

Provide general housekeeping for both the community and individual resident apartments
clean main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments
clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bed linens, and maintain linen supplies
perform deep cleaning focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
launder linens by washing and drying in laundry facilities
follow company sanitation and safety procedures
greet residents and guests, serve beverages and food items, take orders, return carts to the kitchen, assist with storage of perishables, deliver trays to resident rooms as needed
bus and clear tables after meals, sanitize tables and chairs, vacuum carpets
complete side work such as filling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, cleaning coffeemakers
perform other assigned duties as needed
