Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
  • Clean resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, wet mopping, vacuuming floors and rugs
  • Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
  • Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture
  • Respect resident privacy by knocking before entering rooms
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
  • Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen
  • Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles clean
  • Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
  • Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following procedures
  • Inspect linens for wear and tear and manage damaged linens
  • Maintain commercial laundry cleanliness and sanitation
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
  • Review and document daily logs about resident physical and behavioral changes
  • Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
  • Maintain hazard-free environment complying with fire codes and safety regulations
  • Participate in community compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
  • Contribute to team goals and demonstrate team member credo
  • Attend training sessions and staff meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
