Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas including resident suites, bathrooms, common areas, and offices
- Sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all flooring
- spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, and hand shampoo furniture
- dust desk and floor lamps
- clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- Knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a clean and sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Sort, wash, and dry linens following approved procedures
- Fold, count, and stack linens
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry cleanliness and order
- Assist Care Managers with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and feedback
- Review and document information in Daily Log
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored securely when not in use
- Keep cords, carts, and equipment out of the way to comply with fire codes
- Promote compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and risk management policies
- Practice safety procedures including using PPE and handling fire extinguishers
- Maintain equipment and supplies to prevent waste or accidents
- Comply with infection control techniques and protocols
- Participate in team goals and demonstrate Team Member Credo
- Commit to serving residents through Principles of Service
- Contribute to engagement programs and attend meetings
- Maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
