The role available is for a full-time Cleaning Technician position, designed to uphold sanitary conditions across various assigned areas within the hospital. This position is essential in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors alike, focusing on patient care areas, non-patient care areas, and common spaces. The shift runs from 11 am to 7:30 pm, including every other weekend and holiday, reflecting the hospital's commitment to continuous cleanliness and safety. The Cleaning Technician will perform a range of cleaning and maintenance duties using specialized equipment and cleaning supplies, contributing significantly to infection control and regulatory compliance. This job entails working in both industrial and clinical settings, acknowledging occasional exposure to blood, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals, alongside adherence to strict safety standards. Compensation ranges from $16.20 to $23.50 per hour, depending on experience, education, and skills. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred
  • ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment
  • capability to perform heavy lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling and prolonged standing
  • willingness to work rotating shifts and mandatory overtime
  • exposure to blood, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals
  • adherence to hospital safety and regulatory compliance standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • participation in orientation and continuing education
  • knowledge of cleaning equipment operation
  • proficiency in utilization of cleaning chemicals and supplies
  • ability to perform heavy physical labor
  • understanding of safety regulations in healthcare settings
  • good communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • perform all cleaning functions in assigned areas to maintain sanitary conditions
