Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- experience in cleaning or janitorial roles preferred
- ability to operate industrial cleaning equipment
- capability to perform heavy lifting, bending, stooping, twisting, pushing, pulling and prolonged standing
- willingness to work rotating shifts and mandatory overtime
- exposure to blood, body fluids, and cleaning chemicals
- adherence to hospital safety and regulatory compliance standards
Job Qualifications
- high school graduate or equivalent preferred
- participation in orientation and continuing education
- knowledge of cleaning equipment operation
- proficiency in utilization of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- ability to perform heavy physical labor
- understanding of safety regulations in healthcare settings
- good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- perform all cleaning functions in assigned areas to maintain sanitary conditions
- focus on cleaning in patient care, non-patient care and common areas
- operate various cleaning equipment such as automatic floor machines, burnishers, scrubbers and carpet cleaning equipment
- utilize cleaning supplies and chemicals proficiently
- participate in achieving overall division and hospital goals
- comply with safety and regulatory standards
- work rotating schedules, including overtime, weekends and holidays
