Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks from detailed written instructions
  • attention to detail of work routine required
  • prolonged periods of standing walking or sitting while on duty
  • lifting pushing and pulling up to 10-15 pounds with or without assistance
  • visual and auditory acuity and manual dexterity essential to performing designated duties
  • ability to perform effectively in a stressful and fast paced environment
  • ability to pass all required health and other screening tests
  • willingness to wear personal protective equipment and follow universal precautions

Job Duties

  • Sweeps mops and polishes floors
  • vacuums and spot cleans carpets
  • dusts furniture woodwork equipment and dust mops floors
  • polishes and cleans fixtures in utility room and bathrooms
  • cleans fixtures equipment windows walls rest rooms
  • stocks supplies in rest rooms as needed
  • removes solid linens trash bio-hazard from collection areas
  • notifies supervisor regarding needed repairs
  • submits supply order sheets on a weekly basis
  • gathers and disposes trash and waste materials
  • assists and performs Laundry Tech Linen Handler functions as needed
  • assists and performs Utility Tech functions as needed
  • participates in educational programs and in-services
  • attends meetings as required
