As a Housekeeper at the Flamingo Resort & Spa, you will play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for guests through meticulous attention to cleanliness and detail. This role is essential to maintaining the resort’s reputation for excellence by ensuring guest rooms and public areas are pristine, hygienic, and welcoming. The Housekeeping team is central to guest satisfaction; your efforts directly contribute to guests returning and recommending the property to others. Housekeepers are considered the "Heart of the House," providing the foundational services that allow guests to relax and enjoy their stay.

Working as part of the Housekeeping team, you will engage with guests to ensure their satisfaction and work collaboratively to achieve the resort's cleanliness goals. Responsibilities include maintaining and stocking work carts, using equipment properly, and following high sanitation standards. Emphasis is placed on safety, including identifying and reporting hazards, respecting guest property, and adhering to schedules and operational standards. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience is an asset
  • Ability to work on feet for long periods
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to read and follow instructions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality

  • Operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters
  • Lift, carry and position loads of at least 25lbs

Job Duties

  • Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
  • Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
  • Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked
  • Proper utilization of equipment supplies and guest amenities
  • Thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
  • Daily changing and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
  • Practice safety standards and be aware of safety hazards, and properly reporting as found
  • Respect for guests' property should always be exercised
  • Responsible care of equipment
  • Reports to work on time and according to posted schedule, to maintain accurate time records and follows proper standards for issuance of rooms
  • Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to the guests and co-workers always
  • Perform other related duties as requested by Floor Supervisor
