Job Requirements
- Previous housekeeping experience is highly preferred
- Prior hard surface (resilient floor) care experience is a plus but not required
- Valid Florida driver's license
- Ability to lift and/or carry 25 to 45 pounds
- Physically and mentally fit to perform duties
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prepare and maintain professional working relationships with employees and the public
- Previous housekeeping experience preferred
- Knowledge of hard surface floor care a plus
- Valid Florida driver's license
Job Duties
- Operate mechanized cleaning equipment such as vacuums
- Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition through washing, cleaning and replacement of equipment and furnishings
- Clean damp, dusty and dirty areas including human waste and bodily fluids
- Dispose of trash, waste and other disposable materials
- Handle cleaning solvents and chemicals in compliance with OSHA, EPA and state health department regulations
- Follow detailed job assignments and instructions on germicidal solution use
- Damp dust furniture, light fixtures and windowsills
- Empty trash containers daily
- Wet mop floors in all rooms and bathrooms
- Damp mop corridors, lobby and dining areas daily
- Clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes and showers
- Clean all air vents
- Report needed repairs such as leaks or broken fixtures immediately to supervisor
- Wash windows on scheduled basis
- Periodically check entire work area for spills or water hazards
- Perform other related duties as assigned
