Job Requirements

Age 18 or older or proper work permit
Background clearances as required by regulations
Negative TB test within the last six months or within seven days of employment
Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, kneel, stoop, push, pull, lift over 40 pounds
Ability to use standard cleaning equipment
Willingness to follow safety procedures including PPE use

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Effective communication skills
Previous housekeeping experience preferred
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to interact effectively with diverse age groups and backgrounds

Job Duties

Clean resident apartments, common areas, and offices including furnishings, fixtures, bathroom fixtures, floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, hallways, stairways, elevators, and discard trash properly
Set up and remove appropriate caution and safety signs during cleaning tasks
Report health, safety, sanitation concerns, and apartment repairs to supervisor
Follow work and cleaning schedules precisely
Monitor and remove trash throughout the community during shift
Keep work areas free of hazards and store equipment properly
Use appropriate safety equipment when handling chemicals
Follow policies for using and mixing chemicals and disposing waste
Lock and control housekeeping supplies to prevent unauthorized access
Follow policies on labeling and Material Safety Data Sheets
Maintain a positive and professional image representing MBK principles
Encourage teamwork and communicate openly with coworkers and other departments
Display tact and friendliness when interacting with residents, families, and guests
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff
