Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in housekeeping and laundry services
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow safety protocols and infection control measures
- Ability to maintain privacy and respect for residents
- Capable of operating housekeeping equipment
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks
- Willingness to participate in required training and meetings
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Compliance with COVID-19 and influenza vaccination mandates if applicable

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding Sunrise's quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule in assigned areas including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing fixtures
- Knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering to ensure privacy and respect
- Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- Transport clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage and collection areas
- Collect trash and maintain trash receptacles in a sanitary manner
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry following approved procedures
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, stack, and inspect linens for wear and tear
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and direct feedback to supervisors
- Review Daily Log to learn about resident’s physical and behavioral changes
- Store cleaning chemicals safely and ensure hazards are not blocking exits
- Follow safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, and safety data sheets
- Participate in team meetings and training activities
- Maintain compliance with all safety and infection control protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned
