Job Description
San Manuel is a prominent and well-respected establishment recognized as one of the largest private employers in the Inland Empire. Known for its dedication to providing exceptional hospitality and gaming experiences, San Manuel operates with a commitment to the future, growth, and well-being of its employees. The company proudly upholds a 5-Star, 5-Diamond rating standard, emphasizing luxury, excellence, and meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of its operations. Catering to a high-end clientele, San Manuel integrates modern facilities with traditional values to create a welcoming and memorable environment for guests and employees alike. The organization fosters a culture of collaboration and continuous development, encouraging team members to excel in their roles while contributing to the overall success of the company. With its dynamic work environment spanning various departments, San Manuel offers diverse career opportunities, including roles in housekeeping, guest services, and operational support positions, all designed to uphold the prestigious reputation and standards it maintains.
The House Person role at San Manuel is pivotal in preserving the immaculate condition and aesthetic appeal of the premises, particularly in guest-view areas and behind-the-scenes spaces. Under the direction of the Supervisor Housekeeping, the House Person is entrusted with maintaining San Manuel's 5-Star and 5-Diamond rating experience by ensuring the overall cleanliness and orderliness of all public areas on guest floors and in heart of house sections. This role is crucial in delivering a flawless guest experience, as it involves not only cleaning and upkeep but also the timely fulfillment of guest requests, supporting operational workflows, and collaborating with various teams to uphold the brand's vision, mission, and values.
Specifically, the House Person is responsible for cleaning corridors, elevators, elevator landings, stairwells, service elevators, linen closets, and storage rooms, ensuring that these spaces reflect the high standards expected. They restock housekeeping carts with linens, supplies, and amenities, and engage in deeper cleaning activities like carpet shampooing, water extraction, and high dusting as assigned. Beyond housekeeping duties, the role includes delivering guest-requested items within a ten-minute window with courtesy and professionalism, which aligns with Forbes standards. This requires excellent communication and teamwork skills, as well as adherence to safety protocols including proper use of chemicals and equipment following OSHA rules.
The role demands a strong commitment to teamwork, where the House Person supports and motivates fellow employees, facilitates skill development, and leads by example in a diverse workplace. Communication with supervisors and coordinators is essential for reporting maintenance issues and guest requests, ensuring prompt resolution. The position entails physical stamina to meet the job's demands, including lifting, pushing, and prolonged periods of standing or walking, all in a fast-paced, high-demand environment. Additionally, employees must be adaptable to working varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Overall, the House Person position at San Manuel offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a luxurious guest experience while working within a supportive, forward-thinking company environment. It is ideal for candidates seeking to grow their housekeeping skills within an upscale hotel setting and who are committed to maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness, safety, and customer service. In return, San Manuel offers a rewarding career path with benefits designed to promote employee well-being and professional growth.
