Job Description

Cambria Hotel Euless-DFW Airport South is a brand-new upscale hotel located near the Dallas-Fort Worth Airport, featuring 107 beautifully appointed guest rooms. Managed by Mid-Continent Hospitality LLC, the hotel is committed to offering exceptional comfort and service to travelers looking for convenient and stylish accommodations. As a part of a reputable hospitality group known for its dedication to guest satisfaction and quality service, this property is designed to meet the needs of both business and leisure travelers. The hotel's modern facilities, prime location, and attentive staff make it a preferred choice for visitors to the DFW area.

We are currently seeking a dedicated House Person to join our team as the hotel prepares for its grand opening. This vital position plays a key role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall upkeep of guest rooms and public spaces within the hotel. The House Person will be responsible for cleaning, restocking, and ensuring that all assigned rooms meet the highest standards of hygiene and presentation. Attention to detail, discretion, and a commitment to delivering consistent quality are essential traits for success in this role.

In this position, the House Person will work closely with the housekeeping management team, receiving room assignments and prioritizing early cleaning requests. The role involves various cleaning tasks such as removing soiled linens, making beds, disinfecting bathrooms and kitchenettes, vacuuming floors, and restocking complimentary items like coffee, snacks, and toiletries. The House Person also ensures the cleanliness of hallways, elevators, and other designated public areas to create a welcoming environment for all guests.

Beyond the guest rooms, the House Person may be required to assist in laundry duties including loading washers and dryers and folding linens when necessary. Reporting any maintenance issues and handling found items in accordance with hotel policies further highlight the importance of this role in supporting efficient hotel operations.

This is a physically active job requiring prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting of moderate weight. The ability to work a rotational seven-day schedule with occasional afternoon shifts is necessary to meet the operational demands of the hotel. While prior hospitality experience is beneficial, we primarily seek individuals who are detail-oriented, able to communicate effectively in English, and demonstrate professionalism and respect for guest privacy.

Job Duties

  • Receives list of assigned rooms from manager and prioritizes rooms requesting early cleaning
  • Checks the inventory of cleaning cart and adds any necessary supplies
  • Knocks and announces self before entering room
  • returns at a later time if rooms are occupied
  • Removes soiled linens, towels, bedspreads, and blankets from each assigned room and provides fresh replacements
  • Neatly makes beds and stocks towels, washcloths, and hand towels according to policies
  • Cleans and disinfects bathroom and kitchenette or coffee-preparation areas according to hotel polices
  • Wipes surfaces in room and cleans mirrors
  • Vacuums floors and removes trash
  • Checks complimentary coffee, snack, and toiletry supplies in the room, restocking according to provided hotel checklist and policy
  • Ensures room meets hotel standards with a final walkaround
  • Notifies supervisor of room availability and reports any suspicious activity to security
  • Ensures soiled linens are laundered, which may include loading hotel washers and dryers and folding sheets and towels in laundry room as needed
  • Notifies maintenance department of needed maintenance or repairs
  • Takes found items to designated lost and found area if guest has checked out
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
