Job Requirements

Frequently standing up, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility
Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds
Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals
Willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Ability to follow safety and operational procedures
Reliable and punctual work attendance

Job Qualifications

Some previous housekeeping experience preferred
Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English preferred
Other languages beneficial
Basic reading, writing, and mathematical abilities preferred
Experience in extended stay hospitality preferred

Job Duties

Deliver on the promise of Sonesta service in all interactions with guests and clients according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards
Work with room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens
Deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of floor closets and corridors including removing trash, wiping down shelves/counters, sweeping, mopping, and/or vacuuming floors
Respond to guests' requests in a timely and efficient manner
Clean designated areas such as public restrooms, storage rooms, and other public spaces
Report needed repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor
Respond to special requests, guest complaints, and deliver housekeeping/room supplies to achieve complete guest satisfaction
Minimize waste of supplies and amenities within housekeeping
Deliver lost and found items according to procedures
Assist with deep cleaning projects regularly
Monitor laundry supplies and equipment when assigned to laundry
Operate washers and dryers following hotel standards and manufacturer guidelines
Receive soiled linens and inspect for damages or stains
Fold and store clean linens and report damages to supervisor
Promote teamwork and quality service through communication and coordination
Ensure compliance with health and safety laws
Perform other duties as assigned
