Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred
  • ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English

Job Duties

  • Clean, vacuums hallways, lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways
  • sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines
  • clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaner
  • dust furniture and equipment
  • polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
  • wash walls, ceiling and woodwork
  • wash windows, door panels and sills
  • maintain public area cleanliness including restrooms
  • empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
  • transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • stock Room Attendant carts with linen and room supplies
  • strip or remove dirty linen and transport to Laundry Room
  • retrieve clean linens from Laundry Room and properly stock on floors
  • fold towels, sheets, linens as needed
  • stock closets or storage areas as required
  • assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting and moving of furniture and equipment in guest rooms as assigned
  • maintain storage areas organization and cleanliness
  • assist with maintenance and cleaning of pool as applicable
  • carefully use supplies issued for cleaning and maintenance duties
  • greet each guest pleasantly
  • possess thorough knowledge of all in-house products and local area information
  • display proper organizational skills when stocking carts
  • respond timely to customer needs for housekeeping supplies
  • use guest names when entering occupied rooms
  • perform other assigned duties
