Job Requirements

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent preferred
  • Four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred
  • Ability to understand, read, write and speak basic English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions

Job Duties

  • Clean, vacuum hallways, lobbies, corridors, elevators, stairways
  • Sweep, scrub, wax and polish floors using brooms, mops and powered scrubbing and waxing machines
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies using vacuum cleaner
  • Dust furniture and equipment
  • Polish metalwork such as fixtures and fittings
  • Wash walls, ceiling and woodwork
  • Wash windows, door panels and sills
  • Maintain public area cleanliness including restrooms
  • Empty wastebaskets and clean ashtrays
  • Transport trash and waste to disposal area
  • Stock Room Attendant carts with linen and room supplies
  • Strip or remove dirty linen and transport to Laundry Room
  • Retrieve clean linens from Laundry Room and properly stock on floors
  • Fold towels, sheets, linens as needed
  • Stock closets or storage areas with linens and supplies
  • Assist Room Attendants with heavy lifting and moving furniture and equipment in guest rooms as assigned
  • Maintain storage areas organization and cleanliness
  • Assist with maintenance and cleaning of pool as applicable
  • Careful use of supplies issued for cleaning and maintenance duties
  • Greet guests pleasantly and acknowledge their presence
  • Provide thorough knowledge of in house product and local area information
  • Organize and stock carts timely
  • Respond to housekeeping supply needs within 10 minutes
  • Use guest names when entering an occupied room
  • Perform other assigned duties
