The role of a Housekeeping Attendant is fundamental to maintaining the polished and welcoming environment that guests expect at this prestigious hotel. A Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for greeting guests in a courteous and friendly manner, inspecting and thoroughly cleaning assigned areas, and maintaining the organization of guest spaces. Responsibilities include collecting and disposing of trash properly, vacuuming and dusting guest corridors, and managing the transportation and delivery of linens. The position demands vigilance in reporting maintenance issues promptly, adhering to safety standards, and actively supporting the hotel's sustainability initiatives through programs like HHM's EarthView.
In addition to routine cleaning tasks, the Housekeeping Attendant is expected to assist with guest inquiries, respond to their needs efficiently, and occasionally step in as a room attendant during peak periods or staffing shortages. This role calls for a keen awareness of guest satisfaction scores, driving efforts to enhance overall guest experiences.
Candidates for this position should have a high school diploma preferred and prior housekeeping experience or equivalent training to perform effectively. The work environment requires flexibility, as shifts may vary and include holidays, weekends, and alternate hours. Physical stamina is necessary due to prolonged standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, reaching, and use of cleaning chemicals. Safety practices aligned with OSHA standards and proper use of protective equipment are emphasized.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, walk, push, pull, lift up to 25 pounds, reach, bend and kneel
- Ability to follow safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to guest satisfaction and sustainability practices
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Previous housekeeping experience required or equivalent training preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of safe handling of cleaning chemicals and compliance with safety standards

Job Duties
- Greet and acknowledge guests in a courteous and friendly manner
- Inspect assigned areas and perform cleaning tasks accordingly
- Collect trash from the service landings and dispose of in outside trash dumpsters
- Vacuum and dust guest corridors
- Pick up bed and other linen from hotel floors and transport to the laundry collection site
- Deliver clean linen to assigned sections
- Report maintenance issues
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest areas
- Respond to guest inquiries and assistance
- Work as a room attendant when staffing shortages occur or during peak periods
- Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction
- Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program
- Practice safe work habits, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as requested by management
