This particular opportunity is based at the SpringHill Suites Chandler, located at 225 N. Metro Drive, Chandler, AZ 85226. The role of House Attendant is vital in maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas within the hotel. The House Attendant is responsible for ensuring all public areas and equipment meet the company’s high standards of presentation and hygiene. In addition, the position requires delivering various items to guestrooms, such as express checkout documents and property-specific newspapers. This hourly position plays a critical role in enhancing the guest experience by keeping the environment inviting and functioning smoothly at all times. The House Attendant’s responsibilities include buffing marble floors daily, shampooing carpets and furniture as needed, as well as handling guest luggage requests with courtesy and efficiency. The role also involves managing lost and found items according to hotel protocols and occasionally cleaning guestrooms when necessary. Furthermore, the House Attendant must have knowledge of emergency procedures to assist appropriately during such events, maintain hotel equipment in proper working order, and keep storage areas organized. Completing special projects as assigned by the Housekeeping Manager is also part of the job. This role is integral to ensuring overall guest satisfaction and supporting the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping department, contributing to the exceptional hospitality experience Highgate is known to deliver.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • physical ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • ability to stand for entire shift
  • strong communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
  • ability to stand during entire shift
  • effective verbal and written communication skills
  • attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented manner

Job Duties

  • Buff marble floors daily according to hotel standards
  • shampoo carpets in the public areas according to hotel standards
