The Hilton Garden Inn Jeffersonville Louisville North, managed by General Hotels Corporation, is currently seeking an energetic and dedicated House Attendant to join their vibrant team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness in various public areas of the hotel including hallways, stairwells, restrooms, and elevator spaces. The House Attendant ensures these areas present a welcoming and pristine environment for guests, significantly contributing to their overall experience.

As a House Attendant, the ideal candidate will be responsible for various cleaning and maintenance duties such as removing trash, cleaning vending areas, and maintaining fitness center hygiene. They will also support room attendants by providing clean linens and assisting in organizing cleaning carts to enhance operational efficiency. The role requires walking assigned areas regularly to identify and promptly address any cleanliness issues, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy items
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member
  • Good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Remove trash from vending areas
  • Clean floors, walls and machines in vending areas
  • Clean service elevator areas and remove trash
  • Provide clean linens for room attendants
  • Bring all soiled linen to laundry and separate it
  • Help room attendants organize and clean carts
  • Pick up debris in hallways
  • Clean fitness center, wipe down equipment, and restock towels in fitness center daily
  • Walk assigned areas to remove any large items and trash from hallways
  • Clean spills and marks off hallway walls as needed
  • Report any carpet stains or work orders to housekeeping office
  • Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude with guests at all times
  • Other tasks assigned by management
