This Janitorial Shift Supervisor role is an excellent fit for someone who enjoys leading by example and thrives in a hands-on work environment. The successful candidate will act as a critical link between the janitorial team and upper management, making sure that all cleaning tasks meet stringent quality standards and are completed efficiently. This position offers steady daytime hours from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, making it ideal for those who prefer a consistent schedule without weekend shifts. As a Janitorial Shift Supervisor, your responsibilities will include supervising the daily activities of the cleaning staff, providing guidance and support to maintain high standards, and coordinating team efforts for special cleaning projects. You will also play an active role in quality control, assisting the Manager in ensuring that all areas of the facility meet the contractual cleaning requirements and specifications. Additionally, this role requires performing general cleaning duties yourself, such as trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, and restroom disinfection, to support your team effectively. You will be expected to step into any cleaning tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations throughout your shift.

The ideal candidate for this role brings between one and three years of experience in professional cleaning or facility maintenance, along with proven leadership abilities, preferably from previous supervisory or project-leading roles. This job demands physical stamina, as you must be able to lift up to 35 pounds repetitively and remain on your feet for the duration of your shift. Reliability and a strong work ethic are essential, as consistent attendance and punctuality directly impact team performance and facility upkeep.
