Job Requirements
- Hold a valid driver’s license
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- have at least one month of related experience or training
- be able to perform customer and personal services
- demonstrate ability to read, write and comprehend English language materials
- have basic math skills including arithmetic operations and understanding of money handling
- be physically capable of lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, and 20 pounds constantly
- be able to stand, walk, run, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs
- be available to work flexible hours including various shift times
- be prepared to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree
- valid driver’s license for the state of application or within commutable distance
- one month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- ability to read and write standard English
- ability to comprehend and write simple correspondence
- effective presentation skills in one-on-one and small group situations
- mathematical abilities including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- understanding of rates applicable to time passed
- ability to perform parallel parking
- ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
Job Duties
- Maintain pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with all guests, co-workers, and clients
- acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
- use salutation of the day and welcome guests
- practice proper phone etiquette
- post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
- park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- assist guests with bell services and luggage storage as needed
- open all vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- provide guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms and amenities
- deliver messages, items and guest amenities
- shuttle guests to appropriate places approved by location
- explain parking rates and retrieval procedures upon guest arrival
- issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys
- collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
- complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, location of vehicle, damage survey and claim check receipt
- calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
