Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
- One month related experience or training or equivalent education and experience
- Knowledge of customer and personal service principles
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to comprehend instructions and correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division with American money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time
- Ability to safely operate a vehicle and perform parking maneuvers
- Physical ability to perform job tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Weekend availability recommended
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance where employed
- One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to add and subtract three-digit numbers and multiply and divide with tens and hundreds using American money units
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to understand rates applicable to time passed
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintains pleasant, friendly and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
- Acknowledges and greets guests within five feet using their last names
- Uses salutation of the day and welcomes guests to the location
- Practices proper Towne Park phone etiquette
- Parks and retrieves vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
- Assists guests with bell services and luggage storage
- Opens vehicle and hotel doors for guests
- Assists guests with directions, taxis, reservations and other inquiries
- Provides guests with information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
- Delivers messages, items and guest amenities as requested
- Shuttles guests to approved locations
- Explains parking rates and retrieval procedures
- Issues claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collects claim checks before issuing keys
- Completes and maintains all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
- Calculates and collects revenue for vehicles when needed
