Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid driver’s license
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Must be able to write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers
- Ability to understand applicable rates and time systems
- Ability to operate manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Able to stand or sit for long periods
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to travel up to 5 percent
- Ability to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license for the applicable state or a commutable distance
- One month of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of customer service principles
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
- Ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Understanding of 24 hour and military time systems
- Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
- Ability to perform parallel parking
Job Duties
- Maintain friendly and professional demeanor with guests and coworkers
- Greet guests promptly within five feet and use guest last names during interaction
- Use proper phone etiquette and post in designated areas when not performing tasks
- Park and retrieve vehicles carefully and assist guests with luggage and bell services
- Provide guests with directions, taxi information, reservation assistance, and local attraction details
- Explain parking rates and procedures upon guest arrival
- Issue claim checks after receiving vehicle keys and collect claim checks prior to vehicle retrieval
- Maintain all ticket information including key tags, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipts
- Calculate and collect revenue for parked vehicles as necessary
