Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent education and experience
  • Knowledge of customer and personal service principles and processes
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend standard English
  • Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and handling units of American money
  • Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
  • Ability to understand applicable parking rates and retrieval procedures
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking
  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to follow established operational instructions and departmental guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license for the state or commutable distance where working
  • One month related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
  • Ability to read and write standard English
  • Ability to comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Effective communication skills for one-on-one and small group situations
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and money handling
  • Understanding of 24-hour and military time systems
  • Understanding of rates applicable to time passed
  • Ability to operate a manual transmission is highly desirable
  • Ability to perform parallel parking

Job Duties

  • Maintain a pleasant, friendly, and professional demeanor with guests, co-workers, and clients
  • Acknowledge and greet guests within five feet using guest last names
  • Use salutation of the day and welcome guests to the location
  • Practice proper Towne Park phone etiquette
  • Post up in designated areas when not completing tasks
  • Park and retrieve vehicles while driving slowly and cautiously
  • Assist guests with bell services and luggage storage
  • Open vehicle and hotel doors for guests
  • Assist guests with directions, taxis, reservations, and general inquiries
  • Provide information about outlets, meeting rooms, amenities, and local attractions
  • Deliver messages, items, and guest amenities as requested
  • Shuttle guests to approved locations
  • Explain parking rates and retrieval procedures to guests
  • Issue claim checks only after receiving vehicle keys
  • Collect claim checks prior to issuing keys
  • Complete and maintain all ticket information including key tag, guest folio, vehicle location, damage survey, and claim check receipt
  • Calculate and collect revenue for vehicles when needed
