Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in kitchen management or culinary arts
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication abilities
- Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar kitchen leadership role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
- Knowledge of food preparation and safety standards
- Experience in scheduling and personnel management
- Familiarity with inventory management and payroll processes
Job Duties
- Trains all kitchen associates in job duties and plate presentation
- Writes schedules and evaluates personnel
- Maintains open verbal and written communication between management and associates
- Issues disciplinary actions as needed
- Provides tools and equipment needed by associates
- Takes immediate action to resolve kitchen problems
- Participates in department and staff meetings and kitchen inventory
- Ensures high-quality food preparation and smooth service
- Assists in establishing operational goals and standards
- Supervises kitchen staff and sanitation associates in the absence of the Executive Chef
- Maintains records such as roast meat charts and recipe cards
- Ensures timely payroll submission to accounting
