Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in kitchen management or culinary arts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Availability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Commitment to upholding food safety and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a Sous Chef or similar kitchen leadership role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to train and develop kitchen staff
  • Knowledge of food preparation and safety standards
  • Experience in scheduling and personnel management
  • Familiarity with inventory management and payroll processes

Job Duties

  • Trains all kitchen associates in job duties and plate presentation
  • Writes schedules and evaluates personnel
  • Maintains open verbal and written communication between management and associates
  • Issues disciplinary actions as needed
  • Provides tools and equipment needed by associates
  • Takes immediate action to resolve kitchen problems
  • Participates in department and staff meetings and kitchen inventory
  • Ensures high-quality food preparation and smooth service
  • Assists in establishing operational goals and standards
  • Supervises kitchen staff and sanitation associates in the absence of the Executive Chef
  • Maintains records such as roast meat charts and recipe cards
  • Ensures timely payroll submission to accounting
