Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of hotel group sales experience
  • Proven success in developing and closing new business
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and group sales processes
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CRM software such as Delphi or FDC
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Job Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hotel group sales experience
  • Strong track record in business development and closing new accounts
  • Deep understanding of hotel operations, sales strategy, and group booking processes
  • Excellent prospecting, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms and strong business correspondence abilities
  • Self-starter with strong time management, communication, and organizational skills

Job Duties

  • Proactively identify, pursue, and close new group business opportunities across key segments including corporate, association, SMERF, and catering events
  • Build and maintain a targeted account base through outbound prospecting, networking, site visits, and trade show participation
  • Develop and execute sales action plans aligned with department goals focusing on revenue generation and market share growth
  • Lead detailed client communications, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and timely
  • Serve as a mentor and resource within the sales team, supporting strategic discussions and departmental initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records in CRM (Delphi/FDC preferred) and follow up to ensure repeat business and long-term partnerships
  • Participate in industry events, site inspections, and community organizations to enhance property visibility and generate new business leads
  • Uphold brand and service standards through professional communication and a solutions-oriented mindset
