Job Description

The DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center is a distinguished hotel located just south of Miami International Airport, positioned conveniently off the Dolphin Expressway alongside the Blue Lagoon Business District. This well-established hotel features 334 beautifully appointed guestrooms and offers a wide array of amenities designed to enhance the guest experience. These amenities include onsite dining options, a fitness room, an outdoor pool, a fully equipped business center, and complimentary high-speed internet access, catering to both leisure and business travelers alike. Additionally, the hotel boasts 24,000 square feet of retail space along with a vast 20,000 square feet dedicated to hotel meeting and function areas. Furthermore, it houses a significant Convention Center with 152,000 square feet of meeting, event, and exhibit space, making it a preferred destination for conferences, conventions, and large-scale events within the Miami area.

Joining the team at DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport Convention Center as a Room Attendant means becoming part of a reputable hospitality institution recognized for exceptional service and operational excellence. This role is an hourly, on-site position with a pay rate of $15.00 per hour, emphasizing the importance of dedication and professionalism in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all guests. As a Room Attendant, you will work directly under the supervision of the Housekeeping Supervisors and Manager. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that guest rooms are meticulously cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, reflecting the DoubleTree brand’s commitment to comfort and quality. The role demands attention to detail as you will be responsible for changing bed linens daily, vacuuming carpets, dusting all furniture including picture frames, bed frames, lamps, TVs, and dressers, as well as removing fingerprints and smudges from various surfaces such as mirrors, shiny surfaces, and windows. Additionally, you will thoroughly clean the bathroom areas, ensuring showers, sinks, floors, and toilets meet the hotel’s hygiene standards.

This position carries significant responsibility including managing pass keys and ensuring they are turned in daily, as well as promptly handing over any found lost and found items to security. Energy efficiency awareness is also required, as you will be expected to switch off all lights, TVs, and air conditioning units upon leaving rooms. Furthermore, the role involves flexibility and teamwork as you may be asked to assist housekeeping staff with additional cleaning tasks as necessary. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to work 100 percent on-site without remote options
  • Capability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to maintain guest confidentiality
  • Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Change bed linen daily

  • Thoroughly clean the bathroom area (wash shower stall, sink, floor, toilet)
  • Take responsibility for the pass key and ensure it is turned in daily
  • Turn in all lost and found items to Security immediately
  • Shut off all lights, TVs, and air conditioners when leaving the room
  • Assist Housekeeping with additional cleaning chores as assigned
