Job Description
Delaware North Gaming is a renowned hospitality and gaming company recognized for delivering exceptional guest experiences through its diverse portfolio of entertainment and lodging services. With over a century of history as a family-owned enterprise, Delaware North prides itself on fostering a global legacy of excellence and innovation. The company operates in various iconic venues, including stadiums, national parks, casinos, restaurants, and hotels, offering career opportunities that combine passion, growth, and a dynamic work environment. One of Delaware North's notable properties is the Southland Casino Hotel located in West Memphis, Arkansas. This casino hotel is a vibrant destination featuring more than 2200 slot machines, numerous gaming tables such as blackjack, craps, and roulette, simulcast wagering, and an expansive sportsbook. The hotel itself offers 300 luxurious rooms and suites that cater to guests seeking both comfort and excitement. Situated close to downtown Memphis, Tennessee, Southland Casino serves as a key regional attraction in the heart of the mid-south area.
The role of Hotel Overnight Agent at Southland Casino Hotel offers a unique opportunity to work overnight in a fast-paced and engaging environment. The position is full-time, with a competitive pay range of $18.00 to $21.00 per hour. The Hotel Overnight Agent is responsible for handling a variety of hotel functions during the overnight shift, including auditing, front desk operations, reservations, gift shop assistance, and housekeeping coordination. This role demands versatility, attention to detail, and a high level of guest service to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless stay even during the late hours. This is more than just a front desk position; it involves managing guest accounts by reconciling charges and payments, balancing accounts, and completing shift-closing reports. The agent will also play a critical role in scheduling guest services such as wake-up calls, responding effectively to emergencies according to protocol, and maintaining communication between front desk and housekeeping teams to keep rooms guest-ready.
Additionally, the Hotel Overnight Agent will be expected to demonstrate proficiency in essential software and systems such as Windows, Microsoft Office Suite, Versa PMS, Salto Key Systems, HotSOS, Duetto Loyalty, and Oasis Loyalty applications. These technical skills are crucial to efficiently managing reservations, guest folios, quoting rates, posting charges, and monitoring credit limits. The role requires an individual who can work independently without direct supervision, manage multiple systems and tasks, and provide top-tier customer service. This overnight position includes weekend and holiday shifts, making it ideal for professionals who thrive in non-traditional work hours.
Delaware North offers an inclusive work culture dedicated to the personal and professional development of its team members. The company provides comprehensive benefits, including weekly pay, training and development opportunities, employee discounts, flexible work schedules, and access to health, dental, and vision insurance. Eligible employees can also benefit from 401(k) plans with company matching, paid vacation days and holidays, paid parental bonding leave, an employee assistance program, and tuition or professional certification reimbursement. For applicants passionate about hospitality and looking to grow their careers within a supportive and dynamic environment, this role at Southland Casino Hotel presents an excellent pathway to gain valuable overnight hotel experience and contribute to a globally recognized hospitality brand.
