Job Description

AvantStay is a dynamic and rapidly growing hospitality company that delivers exceptional and unique stays specifically designed for group travelers. Founded with a focus on the millennial demographic, AvantStay has emerged as a tech-enabled hospitality brand that is revolutionizing group travel experiences. With a solid venture funding foundation, the company is positioned for significant expansion within the booming short-term rental (STR) industry, which exceeds a $100 billion market size. AvantStay’s portfolio features innovative lodging solutions that combine the comfort and convenience of home with the luxury and amenities of high-end hotels. The company prides itself on providing unparalleled service and creating memorable experiences for its guests by leveraging technology and attentive customer care.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Hotel Operations Manager to join the team at our newest property in Miami, Sense28. This full-time leadership role requires a proactive professional to oversee and ensure seamless day-to-day operations within the hotel. As the local leader, you will be at the forefront of managing guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and hotel programming. Your primary mission will be to deliver an exceptional guest experience by maintaining high operational standards and an inviting atmosphere for both guests and staff alike. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a diverse team, foster collaboration across departments, and contribute to the strategic growth of AvantStay’s hospitality brand.

In this role, you will supervise and guide multiple team members including Guest Experience Agents, Housekeeping Inspectors, Housekeepers, Housepersons, Maintenance Technicians, and Safety Officers. You will be responsible for scheduling, payroll oversight, staff training, and mentoring to ensure excellent service delivery. Managing guest complaints with a focus on timely resolution and guest satisfaction will be key, along with overseeing front desk operations and concierge services. The role also requires collaboration with internal teams to curate engaging hotel programming such as live music events, yoga sessions, and art exhibits to enhance the guest experience.

Operational responsibilities will include managing labor efficiently, inspecting guest rooms daily for cleanliness and readiness, and completing case management tasks promptly. You will play a vital role in optimizing costs by balancing the use of third-party vendors with in-house resources. Overseeing the preventive maintenance program to ensure all facilities are in excellent condition and coordinating inventory and vendor management are essential parts of the job. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the Safety Officer to uphold safety and security protocols, ensuring compliance and a safe environment for everyone at the property.

The position offers a competitive annual salary in the range of $70,000 to $75,000, supplemented by a performance bonus based on skills and experience. AvantStay provides a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, flexible paid time off, retirement savings plans, and various reimbursements for fitness, cell phone, and mileage. We also offer paid parental leave and exclusive discounts on stays at AvantStay properties. Joining AvantStay means becoming part of a forward-thinking company that values innovation, collaboration, and diversity and offers ample opportunities for career growth within the travel and real estate sectors.
