Founded with a vision to redefine group experiences, AvantStay leverages cutting-edge technology and a millennial-focused approach to hospitality, making the company a standout in the rapidly expanding short-term rental market, which is valued at over $100 billion. With a venture-funded backing and rapid growth trajectories, AvantStay is committed to setting new industry standards that combine luxury, technology, and personalized service to craft memorable stays for its clientele.
The company is currently seeking a Hotel Operations Manager to lead the operations at its newly established hotel, Sense28, located in vibrant Miami. This position is pivotal in ensuring seamless day-to-day hotel operations through effective oversight of multiple departments including guest services, housekeeping, maintenance, safety, and hotel programming. The Hotel Operations Manager will act as the local face of AvantStay at Sense28, working collaboratively with various teams to maintain operational efficiency, uphold high company standards, and cultivate a welcoming atmosphere for both guests and staff.
In this role, the Hotel Operations Manager will be responsible not only for managing and mentoring a diverse team comprising Guest Experience Agents, Housekeeping Inspectors, Housekeepers, Housepersons, Maintenance Technicians, and Safety Officers but also for driving initiatives that continuously elevate the guest experience. They will lead daily operational meetings to ensure alignment on priorities and address any challenges that arise, guaranteeing a smooth and efficient operation. Training and development are core components of this role, with the manager providing guidance and support to staff to maintain excellence in service delivery.
Guest satisfaction is paramount, and the Hotel Operations Manager will manage guest complaints proactively, ensuring timely resolutions that enhance guest loyalty and positive reviews. They will oversee front desk operations, ensuring that Guest Experience Agents provide accurate information, local insights, and concierge-level service that exceeds expectations.
Advancing the unique branded experience AvantStay is known for, the manager will collaborate with teams to organize engaging hotel programming such as live music events, yoga classes, and art exhibits, thereby enriching the overall guest experience and fostering a vibrant community atmosphere.
Operational efficiency is another critical aspect of this leadership role. The manager will handle labor management, including weekly scheduling and payroll oversight, with a focus on optimizing productivity and adequate team coverage. Quality control measures will be enforced through daily inspections of guest rooms and oversight of housekeeping standards to ensure readiness and cleanliness that meet AvantStay's premium standards.
The role further extends to managing inventory and supplies, coordinating vendor relationships, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to sustain the property’s high standards. The Hotel Operations Manager will also enforce safety compliance in partnership with the Safety Officer, maintaining a secure environment favorable for guests and employees alike.
This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $70,000 to $75,000, accompanied by performance bonuses depending on skills and experience. AvantStay values its employees' well-being and offers an array of generous benefits, making this opportunity ideal for experienced hospitality professionals eager to lead in a fast-growing, innovative company.
