Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- able to stand for extended periods
- capable of lifting and moving up to 25 pounds frequently
- must follow all KHC policies and procedures including dress code and safety standards
- willingness to perform physical tasks including stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, pushing, and pulling
- ability to maintain a professional image and report to work as scheduled
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous experience in laundry or housekeeping services a plus
- ability to follow safety procedures and chemical handling instructions
- good organizational skills
- strong attention to detail
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds regularly
- friendly and professional communication skills
Job Duties
- Collects or receives and segregates soiled linen and uniforms for repair or laundry and places items in containers
- washes, dries, and folds hotel linens
- uses all chemicals and tools according to instructions to prevent injury, accident, or damage
- examines laundered items to ensure cleanliness and serviceability
- stamps hotel items with identifying marks
- stores laundered items on shelves after verifying numbers and types
- counts and assembles laundered items on cart or linen truck, records amounts to fill requisitions, and transports carts to floors
- conducts inventories to identify items for replacement
- keeps linen room clean and orderly
- may clean guestrooms, bathrooms, and public areas including changing beds, cleaning, dusting, removing trash, replenishing supplies, and vacuuming
- ensures security of guests by following key control policies
- greets guests in a warm, friendly manner
