Job Qualifications

  • One to two years of post high school education
  • one to two full years of employment in a related position within this company or other hotel organization(s)
  • thorough knowledge of guest services and hotel policies, procedures, and operations
  • knowledge of Front Desk and Casino/VIP Operations
  • supervisory and management skills
  • ability to compile facts and figures
  • oral and written communication skills
  • ability to develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures
  • ability to make decisions guided by established policies and procedures

Job Duties

  • Supervise the Front Desk and VIP employees
  • interview, schedule, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel employees
  • recommend performance reviews
  • resolve problems
  • provide open communications
  • recommend discipline and termination as appropriate
  • develop Standard Operating Procedures governing guest service operations
  • supervise for compliance with procedures and safety regulations
  • ensure optimal quality service and hospitality
  • coordinate activities with event coordinators, meeting planners, travel organizations, limo services
  • assist Sales and Marketing in attracting and retaining customers
  • provide guests with information about local restaurants, theaters, and community events
  • monitor department budget to minimize expenses
  • implement emergency training procedures for guest and staff protection
  • maintain knowledge of emergency procedures and evacuation protocols
  • perform special projects and participate in task forces and committees
  • perform other tasks assigned by the Hotel Operations Manager
