Job Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent education
  • Minimum three years experience as hotel manager or director of rooms
  • Proven leadership and management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and relevant computer software
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask and work independently
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Familiarity with hotel safety and security procedures
  • Basic financial knowledge including budgeting and arithmetic
  • Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute
  • Experience in full-service hotel operations

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years experience as hotel manager or director of rooms
  • Experience managing all areas of hotel operations including sales, marketing, budgeting, housekeeping, and maintenance
  • Full-service property management experience
  • Advanced proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Office and web analytics tools
  • College degree or equivalent education in hotel business or related field
  • Strong knowledge of property safety and security procedures
  • Excellent customer service, sales, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to multitask and work under minimal supervision
  • Basic financial acumen including budgeting and arithmetic
  • Typing speed of 45 wpm and proficiency with Opera preferred
  • Demonstrated leadership and team building skills

Job Duties

  • Oversee overall hotel operations and lead multiple departments including housekeeping, engineering, front office, and sales
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize occupancy and average room rates
  • Collaborate with revenue generation teams to drive sales, marketing, and social initiatives
  • Manage budgets, forecast staffing needs, and control operating expenses
  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and legal employment regulations
  • Foster a positive work environment and provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities for team members
  • Engage with guests to gather feedback and continually improve service to exceed expectations
