Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, engineering, trades, painting, or hotel maintenance experience
  • Prior hotel maintenance experience preferred
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb stairs and ladders, crawl, and work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, engineering, trades, painting, or hotel maintenance experience preferred
  • Prior hotel maintenance experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Experience with drywall repair, painting, wall covering, and finishing work preferred
  • Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong communication and guest service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment
  • Basic computer knowledge preferred
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull heavy equipment and supplies as required

Job Duties

  • Perform general hotel maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, public areas, restaurant spaces, and back-of-house areas
  • Complete preventative maintenance projects and respond to maintenance work orders promptly and professionally
  • Perform painting duties including patching, sanding, wall preparation, painting, touch-ups, staining, and finishing furniture and fixtures
  • Maintain and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, mechanical, kitchen, and laundry equipment
  • Maintain hotel appearance standards including exterior areas, entrances, parking areas, pool/spa areas, and grounds
  • Refurbish and repair furniture, cabinets, doors, counters, tables, fixtures, and walls as needed
  • Troubleshoot maintenance concerns and ensure safety standards are consistently maintained
  • Assist with renovation projects and support other departments when needed
  • Maintain tools, equipment, inventory, logs, and preventative maintenance records
  • Respond courteously and professionally to guest and associate requests to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction
  • Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout procedures and hotel safety guidelines
