The Maintenance Attendant role at Sandpiper Hospitality is a vital position dedicated to maintaining the quality and safety of the facilities. Beyond routine maintenance, the Maintenance Attendant supports cross-training initiatives by assisting with laundry duties and stepping in as needed to cover duties for Move-Out, Stay-Over, and Flex Attendants. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in general maintenance including plumbing and electrical
  • Ability to perform light painting and janitorial duties
  • Strong sense of urgency and dependability
  • Commitment to safety and compliance standards
  • Willingness to perform housekeeping and laundry duties
  • Ability to work flexible hours including on-call emergency response

Job Qualifications

  • Proven ability to perform basic electrical, plumbing, painting, and general maintenance tasks
  • Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and guest satisfaction
  • Excellent dependability and sense of urgency in meeting deadlines and responding to calls
  • Willingness to perform housekeeping and laundry duties as required
  • Prior experience in hotel, apartment, or extended stay maintenance role preferred
  • Experience with commercial cleaning equipment such as carpet shampooing machines preferred

Job Duties

  • Perform light and preventive maintenance of facility interior and exterior
  • Complete light plumbing tasks such as toilet repair, snaking, faucet repair
  • Perform light electrical tasks including changing outlets or wall switches
  • Execute studio preventive maintenance programs including painting, caulking, janitorial work
  • Prepare rooms after guest move-out and identify pest issues
  • Maintain and clean public spaces including parking lot upkeep
  • Perform laundry duties such as sorting, washing, and folding linen and terry
  • Provide backup coverage for Move-Out, Stay-Over, and Flex Attendants
  • Be on-call to respond to emergencies, with all emergency time counted as work hours
  • Adhere to assigned standards and perform duties as directed by supervision
