Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Oversee routine maintenance and emergency repairs for hotel equipment including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and elevators
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment life
  • Ensure all hotel facilities including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are maintained in excellent condition
  • Maintain compliance with brand standards for property upkeep and appearance
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations including fire safety and building codes
  • Perform regular safety inspections and maintain records of certifications and inspections
  • Monitor and manage energy consumption to improve efficiency and reduce costs
  • Implement energy-saving initiatives and sustainable practices
  • Manage the department's budget for maintenance, repairs, and supplies
  • Source and negotiate with vendors for equipment, parts, and service contracts
  • Respond to and resolve emergencies such as power outages, plumbing failures, or HVAC issues to minimize guest impact
  • Develop and implement contingency plans for major breakdowns or disasters
  • Work closely with housekeeping, front desk, and food and beverage teams to address maintenance needs promptly
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or large-scale projects
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, repairs, and expenses
  • Report regularly to the General Manager or ownership on maintenance activities, issues, and improvements
