The Laundry Attendant role at Sandpiper Hospitality is a vital back-of-house position that directly impacts guest comfort and the overall presentation of the hotel. This position involves managing the entire lifecycle of linens and garments used throughout the property, including guest laundry, employee uniforms, and all hotel linens. The Laundry Attendant is responsible for operating laundry equipment to sort, wash, dry, iron, fold, and package fabric items, ensuring they meet the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. Meticulous attention to detail and efficiency are essential to keep the hotel well-stocked and running smoothly. Additionally, the role includes delivering and picking up laundry items from guest rooms and uniform rooms, maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry workspace, and assisting the housekeeping team as needed.
Beyond laundry processing, the position supports general housekeeping duties such as cleaning assigned areas, responding to special guest requests, and assisting in maintaining public spaces. Job Requirements

- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Physical ability to lift and carry heavy loads

Job Duties
- Operate equipment to sort, weigh, wash, dry, iron, fold, and package guest laundry and dry cleaning, employee uniforms, and hotel linen
- Log, tag, and package guest and employee clothing and uniforms with accuracy
- Pick up from and deliver to guest rooms and the uniforms room all clothing that needs cleaning or has been cleaned
- Iron and fold guest room and Food & Beverage flat work such as sheets and tablecloths
- Maintain an acceptable state of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area
- Perform general cleaning tasks using standard hotel cleaning products to adhere to health standards
- Assist other housekeeping employees in maintaining clean and organized work and public areas
- Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special guest requests
