Job Requirements

  • Food handler's license and liquor server permits as required by state law or ability to obtain
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable and consistent attendance
  • Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand and arm movements frequently
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and exert up to 20 pounds of force
  • Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, kneel, push, pull, and walk on uneven surfaces occasionally
  • Must be able to walk outside in various weather conditions
  • Must be able to climb stairs inside and outside in various weather conditions

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Hospitality or hotel work experience preferred
  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of mixology, spirits, and wine
  • Strong guest service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization
  • Understanding of liquor laws and safety standards
  • Team-oriented with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain professional appearance

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wine, and other beverages with precision and consistency
  • Follow standardized recipes while incorporating creativity for signature drinks
  • Provide knowledgeable recommendations on cocktails, wine pairings, and spirits based on guest preferences
  • Maintain consistent beverage presentation, portion control, and garnishing standards
  • Responsible for maintaining stock, cutting, and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes and perishables daily
  • Input orders into a register at the point of sale and maintain accountability of all beverages served
  • Display knowledge of liquor laws and sanitize all areas daily
  • Bus and clean tables after guest use
  • Greet all guests warmly and provide attentive, knowledgeable service
  • Monitor guest behavior to ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with legal requirements
  • Detect and act on customer inebriation as trained
  • Maintain integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity with guests
  • Communicate effectively with all hotel staff to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Lock up and store all beverage, food, and equipment items securely
  • Complete a daily activity log with shift information
  • Coordinate with front desk, maintenance, and management on requirements
  • Adhere to attendance policies and maintain regular availability
  • Perform other hotel-related duties as assigned
