We are currently seeking a part-time Houseperson to join our dedicated team. This role is essential in upholding the hotel's reputation for cleanliness and guest satisfaction. The Houseperson will work the evening shift from 3 pm to 11 pm and must be available on both weekdays and weekends to ensure a consistently clean, attractive, and safe environment throughout the hotel. The position offers daily pay with access to up to 50% of your earned wages after every shift, providing financial flexibility and convenience.
In this role, the Houseperson will be responsible for maintaining various public and guest areas, assisting with housekeeping tasks, and supporting the overall operations of the hotel’s environmental services department. The successful candidate will perform a wide range of cleaning duties, from dusting and vacuuming to polishing floors and handling waste disposal. Additionally, the Houseperson will assist housekeepers by preparing rooms for new guests, including tasks such as stripping beds, managing linens, and delivering service items to guestrooms. This position plays a crucial part in creating a welcoming and pristine environment that enhances the guest experience and meets the company’s high standards.
The Houseperson must have excellent customer service skills and the ability to engage with guests in a pleasant and professional manner. Physical stamina is necessary, as the job involves lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items up to 50 pounds and requires standing for extended periods. A keen attention to detail and knowledge of safe cleaning practices are also essential to prevent damage to hotel property and ensure a safe environment for all. Job Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum weight of approximately 50 lbs
- ability to stand for long periods of time
- ability to kneel, bend, crawl, squat and crouch
- tolerance to exposure to dust and cleaning chemicals
- willingness to work 3pm-11pm shifts including weekdays and weekends
- prior housekeeping or environmental services experience
- good communication skills

Job Qualifications
- Prior housekeeping experience or other relevant environmental services experience
- must be available to work any hours or days of the week necessary to meet business requirements

- knowledge of cleaning techniques and safe use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
Job Duties
- Cleans hotel according to standards and within required timeframes to include but not limited to dusting furniture, sweeping, washing walls, scrubbing floor, washing windows, doors panels and sills
- emptying trash
- vacuuming carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- cleaning bathroom
- maintains guest hallways ensuring they are neat, clean and free of linen and trash
- completes work projects as assigned by supervisor and management
- cleans and polishes floors, windows, mirrors, vending machines, and ice machines
- vacuums, shampoos, and removes soiled spots from carpets as required
- removes all litter from public spaces
- transports trash and waste to disposal areas
- supports housekeepers by assisting with room servicing including stripping beds, removing trash, bagging linen and transporting to laundry
- aids guests by delivering requested service items and amenities to guestrooms
- uses housekeeping chemicals as necessary to clean assigned areas to standard
- prevents any damage to hotel property by exercising proper caution with chemicals and equipment
- ensures proper maintenance and repair of hotel equipment by reporting all maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner
- actively engages guests and identifies and meets their needs aiming to exceed expectations at every opportunity
